Your decal comes in one piece and is sandwiched between a
paper layer of transfer tape and a wax layer of backing.
Before applying, flatten it out in a warm room. Always install the graphics
when the temperature is above 55 degrees F. And don't try to install in
windy conditions.
While storing your decal never subject the graphics material to moisture,
excessive humidity, direct sunlight or temperatures above 100 degrees.
Graphics should also be stored flat.

Preparation
Before installing any graphics, you must clean the surface on which the
decal will be applied. Using a soft cloth, wash the surface thoroughly.
Residual grease, soot or tar should be further cleaned with a solvent.
Be sure to clean the surface several times if it was extremely dirty
when you started. To avoid adhesion problems, be sure that all liquid
has completely dried. |
| Installation instructions: Vinyl decals will stick to about
any clean smooth surface. Make sure it is free of dirt, wax and grease.
We recommend installation temperature of surface between 40 - 90 degrees.
Do not directly power wash decals or scrape with ice scraper. Windshield
wipers will not hurt these decals. |
|
Step 1. Take the decal as you received
it. Position the decal on the surface. Apply a single horizontal strip
of masking tape to the top of the graphic. The strip should be split between
the graphic and the surface (as shown). This strip will be used as a hinge
that will insure the graphic does not move during the application process |
|
Step 2.
Hold the bottom edge of the hinged graphic away from the surface and remove
the “Backing Paper” to reveal the sticky backing of the vinyl.
CAUTION: Do not let the exposed graphic fall onto the surface. The back
of the graphic is very tacky and will tightly adhere to the surface.
If the placement is not correct, removing the graphic for re-placement
will be very difficult or impossible without causing damage to the vinyl.
|
|
Step 3. While still holding the hinged graphic away
from the surface. Use the squeegee and go from top to bottom, begin to
merge the graphic to the surface.
Notes: Work from top to bottom. Do not let the entire graphic fall onto
the surface. If lines or creases develop, lift and re-place the graphic.
|
Final Step. Now that the entire decal is on the surface and
squeegeed down. Start at one end and begin removing the application tape,
pulling it back at a 45 degree angle slowly making sure the decal stays
on the surface. If you have any air bubbles left in decal. Use a pin to
poke little holes in them and force the air out. |
